A number of friends in their 50s are great advocates of Imedeen supplements, and I have to say they all have terrific skin.
Supplement is aimed specifically for skin of 50+ women
When I was invited along by Imedeen to have a skin density test (totally painless) and learn more about their products aimed specifically at 50+ women, I thought it would be a great opportunity to find out more.
I have to say that the Imedeen ladies are all excellent advertisements for their products – their skin seemed to positively glow. Post menopause, skin can lose 30% of its density. To address this problem Imedeen have introduced a new range of supplements ‘Prime Renewal’ to specifically target and support the skin from the inside, increasing the skin’s collagen production (and density). A significant difference should be seen in skin quality and density after 90 days of taking the supplements.
An ultrasound probe was placed on my forearm (with some gel) and a computer image of the density of my skin appeared on screen. Interestingly , it would appear that my skin density is greater than you would normally expect for a woman of my age (50) – good to know that I am officially thick skinned! We talked about why this might be the case . By coincidence I follow a diet high in anti-inflammatory properties , rich in oily fish (I eat lots of salmon). The Imedeen Prime Renewal skin supplements ingredients are based on fish oils, hence my diet mirrors many of the active ingredients in the product. If I want to maintain my skin quality it was determined that it would still be a good idea for me to take them. Also, the supplements apparently are excellent for combating dry skin – particularly the calf area. I shall let you know if they make a difference to mine!
Increase in skin density and collagen remarkable
I was shown a number of ‘before’ and ‘after’ scans for women who had taken the supplements for 90 days, and the increase in skin density and collagen was remarkable.
The supplements are taking twice daily , morning and evening .
It is too soon for me to see the results of the supplements yet, but I love the Imedeen Expression Line Control Eye Care – which seemed to melt away my dark circles from day one. I am now a firm convert. I can honestly say it is the best eye cream I have tried. They have a skin serum too – results to follow!
