How many times do we complain that the fashion industry are slow to listen to what we have to say about the types of clothes we would like to buy in our 50s and beyond?
Fashion student Natalya is conducting a study on just that topic and is looking for participants willing to share their views:
Dear Ladies,
My name is Natalya and I am a Master candidate at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.
At the moment, I am carrying out the study on the middle aged women and their attitudes towards Fashion.
I am looking for 20-30 volunteers among women at the age 46 to 65 to participate in this study. The study will be held in the format of a focus group at the campus of my University in Central London between October 13 and 22. Questions for discussion:
- Motivations to buy fashion
- What are your requirements to clothing? How do they differ from the ones in the past?
- What are the barriers to buy fashionable clothes?
- The styles, fit and colors you prefer most
- Your inspirational style icons
Focus groups will be conducted as a relaxed chat with some welcome drinks and snacks. All participants can expect compensation of their travel expenses to the venue within London and some cash incentives after the focus group.
There are several time slots available for you to choose:
- Thursday, October, 13 at 17.00-18.30
- Friday, October, 14 at 14.00-15.30 and 19.00-20.30
- Saturday, October, 15 at 12.00-13.30 and 15-16.30
There will be also some groups on October, 21 and 22.
Depending on the outcome, the results of this study will be published in a solid academic journal and will be beneficial for the academic community in the UK.
