Last year I discovered Barabara Kingsolver. The first book by this author that I read was The Lacuna. I finished the book in 3 days, it was so good. Mixing real people ( Frida Khalo, Diego Riviera, Trotski,) and true historical facts with fictional characters and stories, it is a fabulously written book that is un-putdownable..

I’ve just finished reading “The language of Flowers” by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.
I thought at first it was going to be a typical American damaged child finds love and redemption syle of novel, and to an extent it is, but well written, and the main character is shown as much more independent and stronger than the average.
