When I saw this dress I thought of her. If you feel you’ve lost your sense of style has got lost, I think it’s a great idea to think of somebody in the public eye with a similar body shape and colouring to you, and when you go clothes shopping ask yourself if you think they would wear it. Article by Ceri Wheeldon For most of us over 50 it’s our upper arms we want to keep covered, so the dress I’ve chosen on day 26 of the Dresses with Sleeves challenge has a sleeve which finishes just above the elbow. Again this one is from Mary Portas. The Aurora dress in cobalt blue (my favourite colour) is a great dress to take you from day to evening – a quick change of shoes and accessories is all you need. No reason not to be bold with accessories, for me it’s the bolder the better over 50! Diane Von Furstenberg is well known as queen of the wrap dress, creating an ageless style and trend, which the high street has been quick to follow. Just to show that the wrap dress is far from matronly I have chosen the DVF Kinaya dress in an aubergine-purple and pale blue floral print. I loved this one from Ceme London and would happily wear to a wedding-in fact I have just the right hat to go with it!
