Article by Ceri Wheeldon Sometimes you see a dress and think ‘that’s it’! If you look at style icons Jackie Kennedy is one whose style has stood the test of time. When I saw this dress I thought of her. If you feel you’ve lost your sense of style has got lost, I think it’s a great idea to think of somebody in the public eye with a similar body shape and colouring to you, and when you go clothes shopping ask yourself if you think they would wear it. For Day 27 of the Dresses with Sleeves Challenge I love this Black Iris dress from Hobbs Unlimited. Bloom prints are very much on trend this season, but the style is timeless. I think it could be a favourite for years to come! Hobbs Unlimited Iris Dress from John Lewis £199

Article by Ceri Wheeldon What does a stylish 50 something wear to work? This dress with sleeves on Day 20 of the challenge could fit the bill. Smart and colourful this Cable Revere Collar dress from Phase Eight has flattering ¾ length sleeves and will add a splash of colour on dull days. Understated sophistication for the office. Smart enough to look professional but as it’s knitted a comfortable alternative to a suit or structured dress. The V neck is great for elongating the neck and the sleeve length helps to draw the eye in at the waist. Cable Revere Dress from Phase Eight £89

Article by Ceri Wheeldon To be stylish over 50 it’s always good if you can create a ‘classic’ look while still incorporating some ‘on trend’ elements – that way you can look modern yet avoid that ‘mutton dress as lamb’  dilemma. Lace is very much a look of the moment, and I think the dress I’ve chosen for Day 19 of the Dresses with Sleeves challenge makes it very wearable over 50. The Kaliko Kate Dress has ¾ length sheer sleeves and is very simple in its cut. Kaliko Kate Lace Dress from John Lewis £104

No reason not to be bold with accessories, for me it’s the bolder the better over 50! For Day 18 of the dresses with sleeves challenge this black dress from Pied a Terre Tucked Front  fits the bill perfectly with its ¾ length sleeves and fitted waist. A classic investment dress. stylish in your 50s wrap dress
Article by Ceri Wheeldon I couldn’t do the challenge without including at least one DVF dress. Diane Von Furstenberg is well known as queen of the wrap dress, creating an ageless style and trend, which the high street has been quick  to follow. Just to show that the wrap dress is far from matronly I have chosen the DVF Kinaya dress in an aubergine-purple and pale blue floral print. At £395 not perhaps for every day – but lovely none the less- would good great with turquoise shoes and clutch bag! DVF Kinaya Wrap dress Diane by Diane von Furstenberg at Matches  £395
