Confidence and weight loss expert Steve Miller is on hand this month offering us his advice to lose the excess weight and crank up self confidence for the year ahead.
Tips for a Fat Free 2011
Avoid taking to a restricted diet in 2011 as they rarely work long term. Instead, develop a lifestyle that is conducive a becoming slim and staying slim. Do this by following my five steps:-
Step 1
Audit the pantry and the fridge. Throw out the junk and bring in the fresh. Make it colourful and inviting, just like your future will be.
Step 2
Be brave and take out of the wardrobe all of the clothes that will soon be too big. Get them ready for the charity shop!
Step 3
Go out and treat yourself to a few new outfits a couple of sizes smaller. Hang them where you will see them daily and let them motivate you.
Step 4
Write down what you will do to eat less, eat better, and move more. Then keep these lists at close hand to help build your focus.
Step 5
Give yourself a strong talking to if you wane from living a more healthy lifestyle. Tell yourself to stop making excuses and to get on with it. However also remember to reward yourself when you do well (bit not with junk food).
Crank up your confidence in 2011
We can all be confident! Follow my six step plan to being that confident you in 2011.
Step 1
Make the conscious decision to let go of the past. Draw a line and accept it is ok to move on.
Step 2
Learn to relax about yourself. Do something such as yoga or meditation to centre yourself. Anxiety poisons confidence so relaxation is key.
Step 3
Stretch your confidence by stepping out of the comfort zone. Do things that give you the “ouch” factor. Then congratulate yourself for doing so well.
Step 4
Get the image you really, really want. As your image improves so will your confidence.
Step 5
Seek out a confidence role model and observe them. Then mimic what they do and imagine you putting on their clothes.
Step 6
Consider requesting support from a personal Confidence Coach. If you do this then make sure they inspire you and also stretch your confidence to make you become the person you deserve to be.
