What were you doing the week of Charles and Diana’s wedding?

Article by Fabafterfifty

Do you remember what you were doing the week of Charles and Diana’s wedding? I asked the same question on facebook and twitter , everyone appeared to remember in great detail their life’s events that week. My week was fairly mundane- I was on a finance course, but the venue was close to St Paul’s and the atmosphere in London that week amazing.
Others similarly remembered in great detail precisely where they were during the days preceding, from where they were working to being pickpocketed in London!
For all those wanting just a touch of nostalgia I have found a video of the day. Enjoy!  Will we all remember in 30 years from now what we were doing in this week of another Royal Wedding?

My boyfriend and I not very interested in the wedding walked up to the fields and made love by the haystacks while everyone else was at a streetparty. A perfect sunny day!

I made raspberry jam on the day of the wedding, the only time I’ve ever done so. But I was also amazingly lucky to be attached to the presspack (early paparazzi I guess) when they came back from their honeymoon and landed in Scotland. I have some fantastic photographs and memories of those days.
