How far would you go to return grey hair to its original colour?
The discovery of our first grey hair can often be a reminder of our own ageing process, and grey hair is a clear signal to others of our loss of youth.
A piece in today’s Telegraph says that scientists claim to have discovered what turns hair grey, and have successfully reversed the process in mice by genetically manipulating proteins and hence ‘cured’ grey hair.
Researchers of the University of New York Medical Centre have isolated the specific signalling protein which dictates hair colour . If manipulating the protein works on mice, in theory it should work on humans.
So would you forsake the hair dye and opt for a medical/scientific solution to grey hair?
Food for thought!
