Dallas Returns and this time Sue Ellen’s the Powerhouse

Article by Fabafterfifty

Who can forget the hysteria surrounding the TV series Dallas as we all discussed ‘Who shot JR?’

I’m looking forward to Dallas returning to our screens ( in 2012), but looking forward even more to the fact that in the new series Sue Ellen, the long suffering wife of JR Ewing returns , apparently not as a drunk, but as the power behind the Ewing family.
Actress Linda Gray who played Sue Ellen in the original series and who reprises her role in the new version has said that she wants Sue Ellen (according to an interview with the Mail on Sunday) ‘to be a woman for the modern age’.

Looking terrific at 70

In the trailer released for the new Dallas Sue Ellen looks terrific at 70, and would easily pass for a woman decades younger and looks far more vibrant than  Larry Hagman who plays her on screen husband JR Ewing .

It will be interesting to see how the character of Sue Ellen develops. Let’s hope she shows the world that far from being invisible, women over 50, 60 and 70 can be fabulous!
