What are your thoughts on the latest survey which suggests that women don’t get the hang of clothes shopping until they reach the age of 57 ? !
The report follows a study of 2000 women by ‘myhightstreet’ (age range of participants was not revealed) and says it takes us 40 years to work out what suits us, where to shop, and how to barter?
The study showed that it is not until we reach our mid 50s that we understand our body shapes and what suits us.
”And with age comes confidence, as older respondents have come to accept their body shapes and are able to shop and dress with self-assurance”.
The report highlights that women of this age are great at spotting bargains, and that 25% buy the majority of their clothes online with others favouring just one or two favourite shops.
It seems we all expect compliments when wearing our purchases!
I was personally surprised at the findings and would have thought that we women would have taken far less than 40 years to learn a thing or two about clothes shopping!
