Bless you Gentle Reader and Welcome to your first Monday Morning Moments of Calm.

I’m so glad you are here, taking time out of your busy schedule to read what’s on offer. Hi, I’m Ntathu Allen I was delighted and honoured when  Ceri asked me to join FabafterFity as your Inner Well Being/Meditation Expert. Not sure if I would call myself an “expert” yet I’m thrilled –and nervous—to be here.

A Bit About Ntathu – Who Am I?

For as long as I can remember writing has formed a core of my personal journey . Through a series of unhappy “life situations” including the untimely early deaths of my dear brother John  (1997) and close cousin Sherry (1995) I found meditation.

Like you, I’ve had my fair share of life’s ups and down- juggling the demands of a highly pressurised job as a Probation Officer with caring for my then young family,  a miscarriage, financial debts, and a long drawn out divorce all took their toll.  Learning to meditate and then yoga  I found courage, strength and space to fall apart, heal and rebuild my life. In 2003, I left my young daughters at home with my now ex-husband and my father and travelled to India to train as a Yoga Teacher. The experience had such a major impact on me, in 2004 I resigned from my stressful job as Probation Officer and set up as a self-employed Yoga Teacher. Since then I have weathered the joys and challenges of running my own business, divorce, debts and of course being a mum—which is a full time job in itself!

What Is Monday Morning Moments Of Calm ?

From next week, every Monday, you’ll  receive a short Monday Morning Moment Of Calm blog  to remind you of your greatness and inner beauty, to breathe and inspire you to start each day  in a calm, balanced and uplifting way .

These Moments of Calm may take the form of an inspirational spiritual poem, a short meditation or words of wisdom gleaned through the ether to enlighten and brighten your day. My prayer is this space  develops organically to reflect your personal inner health and spiritual wellbeing needs; so if there are any particular meditation or inner well being topics you wish me to cover, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment box below or let Ceri know by your fav social media.
