I am a huge fan of the Time Bomb range – I particularly like the Blast to the Past dermabrasion product and Miracle Glo – I never travel without them, so was keen to see if the Time Bomb Complexion Cocktail would live up to my expectations.
Aimed to be used when skin looking less than its best, the Complexion Cocktail claims to give an instant boost to tired, puffy skin. Based on the same premise of shots of vitamin B12 being given to patients who are run down, the Complexion Cocktail is a tonic which is able to instantly revitalise tired skin.
But does it work?
I put Complexion Cocktail to the test on a day when I (and my skin) was far from my best having got up at 4 am for an early flight and arrived home absolutely shattered and dehydrated. My reflection in the mirror was far more haggered over 50 than fabulous over 50!
The cocktail itself is a liquid, and looks similar to toner. Applied to the skin with a cotton pad, skin instantly feels cooler and refreshed, yet moist (as opposed to the feeling of dryness which I have experienced when using toners in the past – the main reason I gave them up). I looked less ‘grey’ and skin looked ‘brighter’. I certainly felt refreshed after using it – perhaps they should do a whole body version!
So how does it work? What makes Complexion Cocktail unique?
According to the description on Time Bomb’s own website:
‘Complexion Cocktail (B12) is formulated without a base (a cream or lotion) so that delivery is not impeded and ingredients are not diluted. High levels of Vitamins B12 and B3 plus Brown Algae jolt skin’s own energy production into high gear. Formulated with Centella and Ginseng, this potent concentrate improves micro-circulation for better skin tone and enlivened color. A power blend of 12 Amino Acids and 2 types of Hyaluronic Acid replenishes skin’s surface layers and helps retain moisture for immediate visible plumping.’
Complexion Cocktail with B12 comes in a 100ml bottle- so ideal for slipping into hand luggage on a long flight to revive your skin en route. Also great to use when your skin is looking less than its best if you’ re feeling run down or stressed, or if, like me, you spend too much time in front of a screen.
As it is a product which has an immediate effect, it is definitely something to try if you are going through a period of stress or feeling over tired as just having your skin feel better (as well as look better) gives you a lift.
Price £24. Available from QVC (look out for offers) and also from the Time Bomb website.
