There are times when your skin just needs a boost – as I find when I come back from holiday. I always wear high factor sunscreens but I still feel as though I need a little extra help when I get home. A combination of sun, sea, chlorine in pools and the recirculated air of the plane on its way home all leave my skin feeling and looking less than its best.
The latest addition to Lulu’s Time Bomb range – the Time Bomb Chlorophyll Cocktail is formulated especially to de-stress skin, so trying it out as soon as I returned home from my break seemed a good idea.
The Chlorophyll Cocktail is very liquid, and seemed to sink right in to my very thirsty skin! Skin feels instantly refreshed and very silky to the touch. A couple of days of using and my skin has lost that feeling of post holiday dryness.
So what are the active ingredients that make a difference and why are they aimed at ‘stressed’ skin?
Apparently there are things we can do to help prevent our skin from stress – according to skin scientist Dr Joe Cincotta, even when we feel under pressure our skin reacts by creating more bacteria, leading to drying and ageing.
So, the ingredients in the Chlorophyll Cocktail are specifically aimed at neutralising sources of internal and external stress to the skin before they can cause damage. Chlorophyll fights toxins and sun damage, red clover wheat extract supports collagen, and vitamin C detoxes and refreshes.
I think it is a fab product to use post holiday or during a stressful period when
you need that extra ‘oomph’ added to your skin routine.
Cost £24 for £100ml from Time Bomb’s own website (www.timebombco.com) – but as always watch out for special offers when Time Bomb is featured on QVC – you can often get great savings – and every little helps!
