How To Let Go Of Past Hurts And Gain Relief From Stress… even if you can’t let go of the past! 

Bless you dear friends and welcome to another Monday Moment of Calm; a quiet space to support you start your week on a high peaceful vibration. Today’s post features two short poems, “Forgiveness” and “Time for Healing” I have written to encourage you let go of past hurts and pain and start to move forward in life.

Past Hurts Causes Stress  

Stress comes in all shapes and forms. Like most people, I’m sure you have had your fair share of sadness and let-downs by people who you care about – partners, colleagues, friends and even family. Holding onto past hurts and grudges prevents you living a full and abundant life. In fact, the longer you hold on to the energy of pain and let-down, you’ll constantly be in a state of stress which makes it harder  for you to experience more moments of peace and calm in your day.

How Hard Is It To Let-Go Of Past Hurts?

Letting –go and forgiving others is painful, yet even more agonising is forgiving yourself  especially when you replay painful memories of been hurt. I speak from experience and know how easy it is to get locked into the pain and sadness of the experience, which in the long run, does you no favours. .

Moving through the pain and sorrow takes love, love of self and acceptance of others, yet this can be difficult.

To support you in your desire let-go of pain and to live a calm, peaceful life take a few moments to breathe, find that quiet space inside and  read the “Forgiveness” and when ready “Time for Healing” poems

Forgiveness

I forgive myself for re-living past hurts, anger, pain and sorrows

I forgive myself for allowing negativity to seep-in and remain

I understand, acknowledge and accept how beautiful I Am

How graceful, divine and soulful I Am.

I allow myself time, space and energy to experience my beauty, my grace and divinity

I lovingly give myself love and joy, peace and harmony

I lovingly hold, embrace and nurture myself and give myself

All that there is to give,  so that I can live in a state of calm and inner peace and forgiveness.

Time for Healing

It is time, time for me to move on, to forgive myself and live in peace

It is time for us to move on, to forgive ourselves, each other for past hurts and mis-understandings

It is time

Time for healing, for re-living, re-creating,  co-existing together as one with harmony, balance, peace and joy.

To Recap

Ummm..how do you feel, is there anyone in your heart you wish you could make peace with or part of you which feels sadness and pain anytime you recall a particular experience?. Take your time, breathe and forgive yourself and remember the joy of life is in healing, loving and growing.

So, be gentle with yourself and if today’s poems have touched you in any way, give thanks and remember the more you embrace, love and accept yourself, the easier it is to love and forgive others. YAYJ
