Request from Anne Elliott
Please can you give us just 2 minutes of your time!
Our health expert Anne Elliott has got together with colleagues at Middlesex University to work on this very important research question. Nearly 3/4 of all adults in Britain are overweight or obese and the number is growing.
Dieting is a common weight management tool for many people. There is a lot of existing research that looks at dieting from the scientific perspective but very little about what the end user thinks, the very people for whom effectiveness is paramount. So if you are female, aged between 45-65, we REALLY want to know your views. The questionnaire is very short (only 8 questions) and will take you a few minutes and all participants will be anonymous.
The research is independent and not associated with any private company. When completed, the authors will look to publish the results in an academic journal and an executive summary will be published on this site. We are looking for 1000 women to fill in this questionnaire to give its results weight, so to speak! So if you have a few minutes to spare, please tell us about your recent dieting experiences. There is a full explanation of the project on page one of the survey but if you need any further clarification, please contact Anne or Ceri via this website or posting a comment below.
