Review: Caci Microlift Personal Facial Toning System

Review by Ceri Wheeldon

CACI microlift

Having previously had a course of in-salon CACI treatments with good results I was looking forward to trying the relatively new home use handheld CACI Microlift unit.

The CACI Microlift has a patented muscle gripping action which emits tiny electrical impulses which help to tone facial muscles.

There is a choice of two treatment options with 3 intensity settings in each. To start the treatment you place serum filled ‘buds’ into the four probes. The Wrinkles Programme which is split into 2 sections – the first half of the wrinkles programme is spent ‘gripping’ the muscles between the two sets of probes, and the ‘release’ programme which aims to relax and stretch the muscles – this I found less easy to master in my first couple of sessions. The Toning programme quite literally involves making a ‘zigzag’ pattern across the relevant parts of the face (there are diagrams to help you to do this). When the four probes are in contact with the skin the machine ‘beeps’ so you know that you are positioning the probes correctly.

It is recommended that you use the CACI Microlift 3 times a week for a minimum of 4 weeks .

Does the Caci Microlift work?

i wasn’t sure at first that it was actually doing anything – only because I have used other home muscle stimulating devices before where you could feel and see the muscles contracting. With the CACI there is no obvious muscle movement/contraction – although at the end of my first session my face felt as though it had a workout!

My main areas of concern – as my face has unfortunately ‘sagged’ with age are my not so taught jawline and my crows feet. I am happy to say that after 4 weeks of using CACI Microlift my jawline has definitely improved – it is still not perfect, but the ‘pouches’ either side of my chin have definitely reduced. My crows feet are still there – but not as pronounced- the lines on my forehead have almost disappeared. What I have noticed is a difference in my cheek area they definitely seem firmer and slightly ‘lifted’. Friends have commented that I look ‘well’ or ‘rested’ so the results are definitely positive.

I have found the Microlift really relaxing to use – I look forward to using it- especially if I’ve had a day sitting at my PC.

I am really impressed with my results so far. To maintain the improvements it is recommended that you use twice a week – I plan to continue to use three times a week so will let you know if there are further improvements!

Cost: £349. The device is not cheap, but if you compare to a course of salon treatments it is good value. I’m not sure I’ve come across any other treatment that has had such an impact on the jaw area. I think it is definitely worth the investment.
