Hi Nesters I’m replying to Jackie Harris’s post although I cant tell if Jackie joined the group 1 year and 9 months ago or if the post is from 1yr and 9 months ago, if its the latter my response may be late?

I notice Jackie you had sought some careers advice after experiencing some negative symptoms of empty nest. I love how you identified having “a life-time of working skills” and how they can be used in the world again.

I am about to publish a book ( Feb 2018) ” Polish The Diamond in Your Heart” and it covers the trials and tribulations of starting a business in mid life and beyond. It’s a mix of memoir – mess ups and course correcting!

The analogy of the diamond in the book refers to how we as women are a multi faceted and how we all have our own unique fire and brilliance; but in order to reveal that, we must first remove the layers of rock ( life) that have built up and covered our diamond over the years.

I do hope Jackie that since meeting your careers advisor you are now removing those layers of rock to reveal your own unique fire and brilliance. I’d love to hear more about your journey.
