With summer holidays upon us, how can we best protect our hair against the damaging effects of sun, salt water and chlorine and keep it in tip top condition?
Would you lie on the beach with out sunscreen to your skin? I hope not.The same applies to you hair. Strong UV light draws moisture from the cortex, the hairs middle layer resulting in structural damage. As a consequence, the outerlayer, cutical, becomes very rough which results in the hair looking dry damaged and without shine.
The key thing is protection and moisturising.
Swimming; again the key word is protect whether you are in salt water or chlorine .The good thing about swimming in the sea is you can put lots of conditioner or protection gels on...
